About Me
- Name: Joelie
Me? I'm writing a book, ahem, SEVERAL books, on the subject. I'm a memoirist. And a librarian(got the degree but no job yet), actor, photographer, mommy, crocheter/cross-stitcher, half-marathoner, among myriad other things. I grew up all over the U.S, mostly back and forth between AR and GA. I graduated at 16 and went straight to college in Missouri. I quit, traveled around on Greyhounds, shacking up with one loser boyfriend after another and finally getting pregnant. Gave that one up for adoption (NOT a sad story--VERY HAPPY). Went back to school, eventually went to France, learned French, married a Frenchy, went to grad school, got pregnant again, moved to Texas, had a baby boy 6 weeks early (he's big now though and doing fine), wrote a couple of books (yet to be published), started working in a library, decided I liked it, went back to school to get my second Master's, got pregnant again, started writing for a magazine, had that baby (big fat girl). Moved to Charlotte, NC, had another fat girl. We're all currently living in France for a couple of years, practicing our hippie lifestyle for when we move back to the States and buy our little farm.
